Jackrabbit and Track Attack
Jack Rabbit & Track Attack Lessons run every Saturday in January & February, 1:30-3pm at Glebe Park, Haliburton.
Jack Rabbit is a fun program designed for children starting at the age of 4 that encourages an interest in the sport of cross country skiing. Skiers meet weekly with volunteer coaches for games, activities and lessons designed to improve technique and foster an interest in skiing and sport. There are six levels built into the program but most children take one or two years to accomplish everything that is required for each level. The physiological development of each child plays a big part in their abilities to progress through the levels, but the program is designed with no pressure to move forward within a certain time frame. Following these levels, if interested, a Racing Program is in the process of being developed which will continue to develop the skier’s abilities. Enrolling your child/ children in the Jack Rabbit program will prove to be a positive and enjoyable time for them.
Track Attack is focused on building techniques in both Skate & Classic skiing, for those that have completed the Jack Rabbit Program and are over 11 years of age.
